Just Breathe Program — Building the Vision Carefully

The Just Breathe Program is a developing program of Daughters of the King Nonprofit Organization. It is part of our long-term commitment to create safe, structured, faith-respecting residential support for children who need stability, encouragement, advocacy, and room to heal and grow.

We do not currently operate a group home and we do not currently have a permanent organizational building. We are in the planning, readiness, fundraising, partnership, and capacity-building stage.

Our Residential Vision

Our current long-term vision is to develop three residential homes serving girls first, beginning with girls ages 12–17, within a broader vision to serve girls ages 7–17 as the program grows responsibly. After the girls' residential model is established and operating successfully, our fourth residential home is envisioned as the beginning of services for boys, with boys' programming remaining under the Just Breathe Program umbrella.

The goal is not simply to open houses. The goal is to create safe, therapeutic, structured environments where young people can breathe, believe, build skills, strengthen healthy relationships, and prepare for a hopeful future.

Where We Are Now

We are building the foundation before the building. That includes governance, program planning, policies, staff-readiness work, fundraising, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and identifying resources that will help us move responsibly toward the residential vision.

Our current public work continues through Storey by Moses, Random Acts of Kindness, Johnnie's Friends, community outreach, support for unhoused neighbors, youth and family activities, and fundraising for future program readiness.

Help Us Build the Future

We welcome responsible donors, sponsors, churches, businesses, volunteers, professionals, and community partners who believe in helping children and families thrive.
